However, aside from the gore, most other aspects feel a bit rough, especially the characters and overall execution. See more Screen_Stack S @Screen_Stack Feb 6 The Good: The movie itself is pretty middle of the road, even for a slasher flick from the very early 80s. The practical effects for all the killings (this IS a slasher movie after all) are surprisingly good, especially one scene where an eyeball pops out of it's socket. Is that gross? Sure, but it's nothing in comparison to some of the other horror movies that came out in the 80s. Being SUPER DUPER Canadian is and is not a bonus here, but I thought the Nova Scotian accents were just great, so ... here we are, with that in The Good. As they used to say over dere 'Lord Tunderin' Jaysus'. The Ugly: TJ, wearing a neckerchief. I can't take it seriously. At. All.
