Kelly G @TLK914 1d The story falls apart at the end. Same old Ex special forces soldier, trying to make ammends for missed family time. That movie was made 100 times before. And its fine, cookie cutter stuff, but fine. Until the ending where of course Stanley survives, and they mystically he knows what college shes going to and is waiting there on the day she arrives. And no police were ever called, nobody was told "Officers, my daughter was kidnapped by a cult, and I had to murder about 12 of them to get us out." They just cut to mom and dad are back together and nobodu needs to recover, or testify or deal with any of it. It was poorly written without any consideration for the audience. See more FELIPE B @felipebottrel 1d There are 3 big problems with the script: 1. After all that happened in Chapter 1, they didn't call the authorities to shut the island down? They knew there were other girls there and did nothing about it? 2. If Stanley kidnapped his daughter again, it was obvious that his wife was also in danger. Why didn't he send her to a safe place? 3. If he was talking with an old buddy to join a private contract, why didn't he ask him for help? See more Leo M @Leonardoms 1d Chapter Two deepens the emotional weight introduced in the opening and begins to shift the story from introspection to confrontation. If Chapter One was about quiet tension, this chapter feels like movement — not just physically, but psychologically. The protagonist is no longer just reflecting; they’re being pushed to act. What stands out here is the escalation. The stakes feel clearer, and the "mile" starts to take shape as something demanding resilience rather than contemplation. There’s a subtle tightening in the pacing, suggesting that whatever lies ahead won’t be optional — it will be earned. Overall, Chapter Two builds momentum without losing the intimate tone of the story, making it feel like the calm before something much bigger. See more Read all reviews
