Should he walk into the trap of dozens of men alone, with nothing but a backpack and an empty handgun that gets disposed of immediately? Why yes, and don’t bother to call your old army buddies that could have made this way better, or hell, maybe bring a long gun and a couple grenades? Nope. Turns a barn into an adult Home Alone house and faces 30 plus guys alone with nothing but a range finder. Just a waste. Even C Thomas Howell’s character had way more potential, but they leave him out in the weeds. He even has a crate full of guns and ammo, but does he use it and pass out the guns to his guys? Of course not. This was a bigger waste of film than my divorced parents wedding photos. See more TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch Oct 8, 2026 One Mile: Chapter Two was just as good as the first one in a lot of ways, but it did not have quite the same wild, crazy surprise factor. This chapter moved at a slower pace, and it did not feel as action-packed or energetic as the first movie. That made it feel like a slight step down for me because I wanted the story to keep that same level of intensity. When the wife was kidnapped, I thought the movie was going to turn into a full-out brawl and let the action take over. Instead, it shifted into more of a talking situation, and I felt like that took away some of the momentum. I wanted more of those moments that made the first chapter so exciting. The screenplay also struggled a little more in this chapter. To me, these two chapters feel like one larger movie that was simply split into two parts. Even with the slower pacing and missed opportunities, I still think Chapter Two is worth watching and worth catching up on. I would definitely recommend checking it out. The whole film felt like a Lifetime movie. Cheesy lines. Predictable plot. Ryan Philippe must be pretty desperate for roles to take on another chapter as an Army vet seeking revenge. Chapter 2 is fairly predictable, but also frustrating because Ryan Phillepe's character has resources at his disposal and chooses to lone wolf to take on an entire cult of people who have drank the Kool aid.
