Brighton N @RT09904023 May 30, 2026 I wish Patema Inverted was one of my favorite films. Frankly, it had all the ingredients in place to be something truly extraordinary. However, its confusing, convoluted execution frequently took me out of an otherwise remarkable film. While I'd still recommend this film to anyone, as I still thoroughly enjoyed it, there was a plethora of potential here that didn't come together as well as it needed to. While it had the potential to be a top-tier anime film, it was only good, not great. It's a true tragedy here, that's for sure. It’s an open-ended story that is confusing sometimes, yet always interesting and intriguing. See more Aug 20, 2021 really nice, love the protagonists See more Oct 31, 2020 Utterly jaw-dropping. I watched it years ago as a child and even though I had no understanding of gravity or even really what was happening at the time, I was just as enthralled as I was after watching it today. Truly stunning, on par with even the best of Ghibli movies. I could never recommend this movie enough, but as you can see- I took off half a star, that is solely because my brain is still very bad at processing the whole thing and the conclusion leaves me very shaken, which I personally enjoy because it just means there are more things to consider and imagine. even the dub is great!!
