Thankfully Meg Tilly is excellent so it evens out overall. The production quality is much higher than the previous film with far fewer issues with the plot and effects. It also looks really nice, like they have perfected the medium of film. It’s an interesting story and actually a good continuation of the original film but the pacing is not good. They keep hammering home plot points and character decisions. The stabbings are significantly better, really horrible to watch. It’s a fine film, average, less polarising than the first film. I didn’t like the ending, it lacked complexity or any moral cleverness. See more Ronald F @RT59759922 Nov 1 i guess i was roundabout 14-15 when i watched this for the first time, i had a little crush on Meg Tilly and a VHS tape with Psycho 2 and The big Chill on it. Psycho 2 is a great sequel to Psycho, with a great cast (Perkins, Miles, Tilly, Franz, Loggia) twist and turns, off course it did not make the kind of history the first movie made, its just a very good movie.
