Following the death of Vesper Lynd, James Bond (Daniel Craig) makes his next mission personal. As always, Bond shines like a British señorito among luxury salons, good drinks, and pretty women, although in this new installment, the character allows himself to get dirty, his hair to get tousled, and he even perspires. [Full review in Spanish]

Its not a problem to pick up where "Casino Royale" left off, it is a problem to just repeat and reiterate the character development of that movie. It shows a lack of confidence, something that seems confirmed by the frantic editing and the half baked plot. Don't promise me Mathieu Amalric as a Bond villain and then give him nothing to do!

*Quantum of Solace* é, sem dúvida, o capítulo mais **frio e árido** da era Daniel Craig. Diferente dos Bonds clássicos, este filme não se sustenta sozinho: ele funciona como uma **continuação direta de *Casino Royale*** e como um elo narrativo essencial para a construção da organização que mais tarde culminaria na SPECTRE. Aqui, Bond não está em missão — ele está em **luto, raiva e vingança**. A perda de Vesper molda suas ações, tornando-o mais agressivo, menos carismático e quase autodestrutivo. O problema é que o roteiro aposta tanto nesse estado emocional que acaba sacrificando o impacto dramático e a identidade própria do filme. Curiosamente, este é o filme com o **maior nível tecnológico da franquia até então**, mesmo sem a presença clássica de Q. Monitoramento global, rastreamento digital, manipulação de recursos naturais e espionagem econômica colocam o vilão em um campo mais realista — e também menos ameaçador visualmente. It would be nice if they could have held the camera steady for more than three seconds. Trying to bring back the past with Modern Cars is a big mistake. Hiring Daniel Craig was the biggest mistake of course. Looks more like a hip-hop video than a movie. Also shorter than most Bond movies. The era of Bond movies that terminated a franchise.
