Based on the popular video game, Milla Jovovich and Michelle Rodriguez star as the leaders of a commando team who must break into "the hive," a vast underground genetics laboratory operated by the powerful Umbrella Corporation. There, a deadly virus has been unleashed, killing the lab's personnel and resurrecting them as the evil Undead. The team has just three hours to shut down the lab's supercomputer and close the facility before the virus threatens to overrun the Earth.

This movie doesn’t understand why the games work. You can’t just put zombies in a place with an Umbrella logo and act like you ate. It also has too many bodies on screen to give us tension. It feels like a Lady Gaga escape room.

If you can manage to shut off your brain, you might allow yourself to get caught up in its claustrophobic action, which has sufficient production value to keep your mind off of the ludicrous storyline.

It's a very obviously bad movie but it is SO MUCH FUN with friends around to watch it with you. Not gonna lie the action is still super cool and fun and the dialog is just the right level of cheesy. I WILL be watching all the sequels with friends so we can enjoy this horrible series together. 11/5 see it toasted.

I really liked this movie. Yes the CGI is quite laughable, but for a movie over 2 decades old, it gets an excuse. I’ve only played re3 before and seeing the lickers “live” is pretty cool to me. Also has me excited to watch the next one as the end of the movie aligns with re3’s start. Love the plot!
