Adella R @RT09796743 Sep 19, 2026 Had the potential to be a great story but lacked a LOT of common sense and depth. Don't get me wrong some things were done well ... it just wasn't believable because of the massive things they missed. You be watching and all would be going well for 10 minutes and then something REALLY STUPID would happen and it would jolt you out of the vibe of the movie. I don't get disappointed in movies much especially not this genre, but this left me feeling very annoyed that they didn't do a better job. Nothing over the top, just exactly how things would pan out for regular people! Great twist at the end! Crazy, don't overthink it to much ....... but great! See more May 8, 2022 I remember seeing a trailer for this film in 2006 when i was 13 years old. the trailer completely engaged me, creating this chaotic atmosphere and moral question about 'What would you do?' if you was in the situation of our main character. 16 years later I finally sit down to watch 'Right At Your Door'.......... one of the most disappointing viewing experiences I've ever had. Needless dialogue, needless characters introduced, and the "twist" ending was laughable. See more justin t @RT08580778 Feb 17, 2022 I was pleasantly surprised. This is not the same as other toxic explosion movies such as Threads (1984), The Day After (1983) and the less memorable Testament (1983). This movie is harder to relate to and did not scare me in the same way. It focuses much more on a close relationship between a couple caught up in a fictional terrorist attack. It is much less about total destructive paranoia and more intimate. The movie is very well made. It looks very believable. The way that the movie has been made feels honest. The relationship is gripping from start to finish. See more ronald h @RT44372985 Sep 17, 2021 I'm a defender of, and sometimes an apologist for, low budget indie films. Those that are creative and intelligent can be forgiven their limitations. This one, I'm not really impressed. Neither of the main characters is likeable. The dialog is rudimentary, with liberal usage of the "F" word to express the characters' terror and frustration. The twist at the end is not only inexplicable; it's actually insulting. I suppose creating a scary mood is enough for some people, but there has to be more to a movie than that. See more David M @vicardave Jan 10, 2021 A brisk, tense, stripped-down thriller set against a chemical attack on Los Angeles, focussing on a woman who was heading into the city as the explosions happened and her husband at home. If the film's central dilemma is pretty predictable from the outset (not least given the title), it's well-executed, the two main performances are good and the short running time is in its favour. It takes on extra resonance this side of a pandemic, and the ending shows some story-telling guts. See more Read all reviews
