AC C @Mon_Alisa 6 days ago If all you took away from Rollerball was a violent sport and a washed up athlete you missed the point. It’s weird, gruesome, thought-provoking, and yes, barbarically entertaining—but we’re meant to focus on the audience I think. We get a look at ourselves while we watch the crowd feed on blood & death as sport. It’s visceral & impactful, thanks in huge part to a stunt team and actors who performed with zero gimmicks. See more bruce F @bruce999 Aug 14, 2026 interesting, but hard to understand at times. See more Ollie W @RT90619198 Jul 25, 2026 The editing and pacing is lethargic. It’s a long film and they easily should have edited out at least twenty minutes. The premise isn’t particularly interesting. A corporation wants a player to retire from a weird future sport and he doesn’t want to? Who cares? It’s a good cast. That’s all it has going for it. Watch the original Running Man instead - it’s a similar concept but far more fun. See more Nathan Y @NathanYatesDouglass Jul 24, 2026 I think the critics missed the point on this freedom manifesto. Way ahead of its time conceptually, the prophetic plot about corporate control is, unfortunately, much more relevant now in 2026. It’s violent, could have used a better score, too long, and a little weird, but is a compelling and thought-provoking movie. See more Pipe Smoking L @RT92467537 Jul 1, 2026 One of this Reviewer's most favorite films! In the future... a single, fascist corporation controls planet Earth, using a benevolent, despotic, Socialist Utopia. One that would make Nimrod blush. A highly confusing film to Liberals! Secrets are revealed... about The System, Switzerland, Sports-Fans, The Human Condition, The 1%... all through masterful art and allegory! James Caan kills people on roller skates. Motorcycles explode. Plant-life is ruthlessly killed, while John Beck is ironically turned into an immortal vegetable. Special guest appearance by AI! Spikey gauntlets. Only stupid slaves will downvote this film! Because they are stupid slaves. And this film is about them. And openly mocks them. But they wont get it because complex allegories bore and frustrate them! Because they are stupid slaves. See more thiago S @Thiagostone Jun 22, 2026 Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom See more Read all reviews
