Teddy B @RT90521672 20 hrs ago The film functions well with a heavy dose of political nerve and some genuinely disturbing sequences. However, everything inbetween that drags on like the Marquis De Sade novel it's based on: pointless, repetitive scenes that add nothing to either shock or enthrall the audience. That time around it was [blank] 'fricked' [blank] with [object] for [insert number] days, this time around it's [insert primary villain] humiliates, assaults or murders [insert teenager practically already in a body-bag from the film's start] while [insert pretentious Italian/classical] music plays. It is an important film: well-constructed, with a fascinating subtext---it just doesn't really hold my attention with all the Pasolini-isms boring me to tears. Finishing it makes you really appreciate your own life. The disturbing part is that there is no reaction whatsoever. See more Paul G @RT41215877 Jul 19, 2026 Eyes Wide Shut on steroids , The film is one of a kind , Extremely Grotesque, but somehow keeps you watching , the four guys who play the Libertines , specially the President was entirely convincing in their evilness , it’s a wild experience. For me this was more than just a artistic message , Pasolini , for me , knew things that happened in Italy and wanted to show the world and specially Italian people , and I think it costed him , his life. Oh and I’ll never watch it again , once is enough See more Francisco P @RT62794586 May 24, 2026 For me, this is the most realistic film about how humans can go when they have the poower to do everything. The phrase "Hell is empty, the demons are all in earth" represents this movie. Its simbolic and chocking, but if you understand, there is a piece of art on here. See more Undead C. @UndeadChill Apr 9, 2026 Does a really good job of making the audience uncomfortable. Some scenes made me question reality. Good nod to what could really happen in the world. Would only recommend it to someone who has a stomach of steel. See more Read all reviews
