Zack E @Zackezzo Aug 23, 2026 Super super slow. Don’t expect anything exciting. See more Andrew L. @light4668 Dec 31, 2025 A very quiet movie. It’s ok See more Dean H. @Dark_Lord_Torgo Oct 29, 2025 I have never watched a movie go from good to bad so fast. It was building tension, mystery TERROR. Then decided it didn’t need any of that anymore. I would liken it to aliens attacking earth then deciding; no, call it off. See more Tom L @RT84451299 Oct 1, 2025 Sator is the very definition of slow burn. 80% atmosphere with only vague hints at plot most of the way through, the filmmakers perhaps lean too heavily on subtlety. A family that lives out in the woods is afflicted variously with mental illness, dementia, and addiction. But are the fleeting disturbing glimpses merely hallucinations or something more? There are hints of Native American mythology, particularly the Wendigo, and as the movie moves toward the final act we finally begin to see some action. We are left with the question whether the final brutal acts are the product of madness, or does the entity Sator actually exist and has orchestrated the whole thing. There are definitely some genuinely shocking and disturbing moments that are as original as they are creepy. See more Steve S @RT31919656 Jan 31, 2025 Sator left my wife and I struggling (and using Wiki) to understand the basic plot and characters. Excellent visual art though it is, the background music, Rachmaninoff methinks coupled with the strange quotations taken almost directly from Malachi 3:1-4, would seem to weave a deeper plot but they are simply window dressing not fleshed out. See more Paul S @RT22088805 Dec 2, 2024 Original and atmospheric. You can tell how much love and care went into this and the filmmaker deseves the utmost respect for it. Unfortunately, it let me down by taking its potential originality down a very mundane path that we've seen many time before. A shame, as the concept and style could have lead to something thoroughly unique. See more Read all reviews
