Critics Consensus

Saw III does little beyond repeating its predecessor's tropes on a gorier level.

The third movie doesn't go over the edge, but it does start to feel like John is setting his subjects up to fail, and the game shouldn't be rigged quite so hard if he really wants people to walk the path of redemption. Go to Full Review Tim Grierson Screen International Jul 23, 2008
Staying mostly faithful to the successful blueprint of its two earlier installments, Saw III is an adequate sequel that works well enough on its own terms. Go to Full Review Brian Tallerico UGO Mar 24, 2007

subcorpion 2 @loafbreadbanana 1 day ago Saw III is brutal; you can either forgive or take revenge on the people who destroyed the important people in your life in the most unimaginable ways. Also, this part of Saw really centres…not only on the victims but also on their children (like the first Saw and Saw II) but Saw III brings a lot of impact because the whole story circles Lynn and Jeff. It also shows that their actions and choices affect their children. The trilogy of Saw, especially Saw III, shows broken and unhealthy family relationships making the consequences of the games feel more personal and tragic… See more Robert P @Superbad Sep 10, 2026 This movie is also only worthy of 3 stars See more B P @Bradster69 Sep 1, 2026 Not Bad, but Not My Favorite See more Sri K @RT78004441 Aug 15, 2026 My personal favorite of the saw franchise because of the traps and the ending, the ending carried the entire movie as it was completely unexpected and absolutely amazing See more diogo13 T @Tua_mera Jul 12, 2026 No universo de Saw, você não precisa se preocupar se for um estuprador ou assassino. Apenas certifique-se de não ficar triste quando seu filho morrer, e você não acordará em um jogo. See more Pizza G. @concrete_booger739 Jun 7, 2026 My favorite in the franchise! Leaning towards the torture more than story a bit, but Saw 3 delivers much more gore and iconic traps in the saw franchise! See more Read all reviews
