B P @Bradster69 Sep 13, 2026 Not Bad, but Not My Favorite See more Actually I. @Susan265 May 26, 2026 This was like watching people play a video game that you don’t play. It’s hard to say the acting wasn’t any good when you’re not sure what they were going for. It was very shallow, but not excessively gory. There wasn’t much story there. It was billed as a comedy, but it was boring. I didn’t find anything funny in it. Perhaps it was written for 12-year-olds? I was doing other things while I was watching this. I would not have been able to just watch it straight through. I feel like this was so low budget that they probably got yelled at a lot for making a mess of the neighborhood when filming this. See more Sep 14, 2021 It tried to hard to be funny. Just came across as nasty. See more Oct 18, 2020 Started watching this thinking I'm not gonna like this, however I gave it a chance but ended up stopping it halfway through. It tried to take on certain aspects of Sean of the Dead and failed miserably. Sean of the Dead genuinely made me laugh and had the perfect amount of gore and shock factor and the characters were interesting. Where as 'this' just didn't compare at all. See more Sep 5, 2020 it was ok, nothing more than that See more Oct 12, 2019 "Shed of the Dead" was quite the spontaneous watch, I was immediately persuaded to watch it after seeing names like Bill Moseley, Kane Hodder and Michael Berryman. Can't say I wasn't expecting them to have only a few minutes of screentime each but that's not the problem though. It's probably very reminiscent of "Shaun of the Dead" for a lot of people, plus a pinch or ten of "Your Highness" or "Knights of Badassom", along with some other smaller references. While the filmmakers have borrowed a lot of ideas (which isn't necessirly bad) they've also managed to put it all together neatly in 80 minutes of evenly paced fun. "Shed of the Dead" has "low budget" written all over it, but at the same time the actors, the characters, jokes & even the production design makes you feel the effort and joy that's behind making this flick. For the horror buffs, the before mentioned actors are a true treat, there's a reason why they're so big on the poster... The story is much like that of "Shaun of the Dead", but not to a fault. What I found to be the dumbest parts were how easily characters did or did not do some things. This is a spoiler-free review, so I won't mention the particulars, but at some points the writing just felt off and silly, not the kind of silly that adds up to the comedy. From a technical standpoint I admired the intro animations, but overanalyzed some of the cinematography choices, more than a few frames jumped out. The original score is kinda shallow and vague but doesn't stick out in a bad way at any point. Sure, there are a lot of other, a lot of better zombie movies out there, but "Shed of the Dead" will more likely than not entertain the fans of either the cast, the zombie genre, horror comedies or all three of those things.
