After witnessing a Mafia murder, slick saxophone player Joe (Tony Curtis) and his long-suffering buddy, Jerry (Jack Lemmon), improvise a quick plan to escape from Chicago with their lives. Disguising themselves as women, they join an all-female jazz band and hop a train bound for sunny Florida. While Joe pretends to be a millionaire to win the band's sexy singer, Sugar (Marilyn Monroe), Jerry finds himself pursued by a real millionaire (Joe E. Brown) as things heat up and the mobsters close in.

The charming Tony Curtis’s performance was outstanding, as was his chemistry with the gorgeous Marilyn Monroe. Jack Lemmon’s performance was stellar and perfectly complimentary to Lemmon and Monroe. This is the first Marilyn Monroe movie I’ve ever seen, and I completely understand her appeal. She was sensual, magnetic, and breathtakingly beautiful. Overall, I would definitely recommend Some Like It Hot! Holiday and Jack Lemmon worked well together in 'It Should Happen to You'; if his role was switched with Curtis, he and Judy would've made a good pairing as Joe and Sugar. A lot of the movie vehicles that were handed to Monroe seemed more suited to Judy Holliday. Every picture Monroe has appeared in is fouled by her obvious mediocrity.
