Vague Visages

The Shakespeare Sisters boldly attempt to capture a young romance, but the film occasionally loses momentum with its loose script and clunky editing.

Despite the performances, the film still unfortunately comes off generic and as mentioned before the soundtrack is rather lackluster given the film's title.

Soundtrack to Sixteen is a sweet, refreshingly naturalistic film that speaks to the teenager in all of us.

For a debut feature, Soundtrack to Sixteen is quite impressive and promising future for this director/writer sister duo.

Hillary Shakespeare... deploys a fairly talented supporting cast, a lived-in school setting, genuine messages about friendship, and two lead performers who sell a winning relationship.

A refreshing, touching coming-of-age film. A real gem that doesn't conform to many of the boring trope of your typical teenage dramas. A beautifully touching insight into the pressures of school, friendship, and blossoming romance, from a truly refreshing perspective. I expect great things from this sister-duo in the future, who have clearly shown just a fraction of what they are capable of. Highly recommended.

Beautiful heartfelt film. A realistic and fun look at the British Highschool experience with teenage friendships and heartbreak. A low-budget indie with a lot of heart, fantastic acting from newcomers and great dialogue. A must-see! And an enjoyable film to watch.
