Tiffany "Rex" Simpson (Emma Roberts) has always dreamed of going to space, but life isn't going quite as planned. Determined to turn things around, she aims high and with the embellishing touch of her supportive best friend Nadine (Poppy Liu), her "doctored" application lands her in NASA's ultra-competitive astronaut training program. In over her head, Rex relies on her quick wits, moxie and determination to get to the top of her class. NASA program directors Pam (Gabrielle Union) and Logan (Tom Hopper) certainly take notice, but can this Florida girl get through training and into the cosmos before she blows her cover?

Films like Space Cadet should feel graceful and light, going down easy like the many sweet cocktails we see Rex prepare, but this one is hopelessly muddled, a bitter first sip that proceeds to curdle.

The plot was absurd but it's a comedy so who cares. Everyone should follow their dreams no matter how crazy those are and this movie was a good reminder of that.

If Ken and Barbie amuse you, this is for you. Plastic in just about every way possible. Absurd, silly, ridiculous, sometimes funny peculiar, seldom funny haha and perhaps just a bit too much over the top. But hey, entertainment, right? Well enough written. Good cinematography. Whole cast convincing in character. Can't be all that bad huh?

Absurda pero a la vez entretenida. Si uno se salta todos los agujeros de guion se va a reír y la va a disfrutar, si no se los ignora supongo que también pero de manera no tan benévola. Emma Roberts sigue actuando de Emma Roberts pero es simpática y le funciona así que porque cambiar. Para lo que es genero comedia romántica la verdad que destaca por lo diferente y eso es suficiente.
