03/01/2010 Moshe Mizrahi, a moment before finding his own voice and Academy Award nominations, makes an atempt to be an avant-gardist. I don't know how the film worked in its time, but today it's a pretty tedious experience. See more 12/13/2008 finally saw the film last night. it was superb. a movie about feminism and universal love. plus an excellent soundtrack and performance by art ensemble of chicago in the movie. radical and hip! See more 12/03/2008 This is a great film, only rediscovered recently. Obviously, the Art Ensemble's soundtrack is better known, and clearly helped the film get a reissue, but the film is a striking example of post new-wave and proto-feminist ideology. A really progressive film also, in terms of its attitude toward relationships and marriage, as well as womens' roles in a patriarchal society. Amazing stuff. See more Read all reviews
