A retired CIA operative has 96 hours to rescue his kidnapped daughter, and the movie wastes almost no time getting there. The stakes are clear from the start, the pacing is relentless, and every scene pushes Bryan Mills closer to his goal. Liam Neeson delivers the performance that reinvented his career. As Bryan Mills, he combines intelligence, quiet confidence, and ruthless determination into one of the most memorable action heroes of the 2000s. His "particular set of skills" speech remains one of the genre's most iconic moments. Director Pierre Morel keeps the tension high throughout, while Maggie Grace gives the story enough emotional grounding to make Bryan's mission feel personal. The plot doesn't break much new ground, and some villains are fairly one-dimensional, but the focused story, brisk pacing, and Neeson's commanding performance make Taken one of the best modern action thrillers. I don't know want you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. What I do have are a particular set of skills. Skills I have aquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that will be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you and I will kill you. This should just summarize what you should expect in this movie. One of my best action kidnap movies you will ever see.
