Sadly, it ultimately builds to a would-be shocking twist that is not nearly the game-changer it claims to be, leaving viewers with more questions than answers. Go to Full Review

The Astronaut has a lot going for it, but, like the lead character in the opening scenes, it doesn’t quite stick the landing. Go to Full Review

Varley’s grip, her taut observation of nerve-wracking isolation, loosens and the film devolves into a blunt and clichéd consideration of family. The transition is awkward, and more cartoonish than moving, as the performers try to regain their footing. Go to Full Review

Writer-director Jess Varley delivers an engrossing, intriguing "after space" story that's only really weighed down by some low-orbit visual effects. Go to Full Review

thiago s @Thiagostone 10h Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom See more Meg R @Justvisiting 12h It was a bit strange at first. I wondered why her dad that loved her so much supposedly seemed detached. The ending was completely worth the watch. I had no loose ends or questions at all. The ending completely resolved every thing I was wondering about during the watching. Check it out for yourself .... The pieces of the puzzle come together once you see the ending and understand. Isn't that why we watch movies? Yes I have seen much more expense, in every way in different movies. I have seen few that can explain itself as well as this one as quickly. The little girl, Izzy understood completely in an instant. It was completely worth the time and Yes I will watch it again. The " I will see you soon" is a wonderful closing. See more Patrick F. @p170llv 1d I loved this movie. It took a while to get to the exciting part, but, it was worth the wait. Great ending. See more Phi S @PhiSchmo 1d Underwhelming is the word I feel best describes the overall effect the movie had on me. I was hooked enough to become vested in the outcome, so actually, that's saying something for the movie as a whole. It kept me guessing, but as the truth unraveled, I was left looking at all the loose ends, not sitting back going, "...aaaawwww, look the family of aliens is finally at peace and the little(adopted, or the human marriage angle would no have worked at all) girl and her dad will be ok with the mutated mother leaving them." No, this was like a low budget E.T. meets Close Encounters. It unraveled weakly, sorry. But I had faith and so stayed till the end to see how everything would pan out. Oh well, not a total waste...
