Jeff B Dec 7 Kursk: The Last Mission is about true events that depicts more hope than was the reality for the lives of the 118 personnel onboard. It is estimated that the few crew that did survive the initial explosions did so for less than 7 hours, the movie shows they were alive for days as several rescue attempts fail. A great cast including Matthias Schoenaerts, Léa Seydoux and Colin Firth. Not much to the story, a torpedo explodes, 2 minutes later more torpedoes explode, and the Kursk sinks to the ocean floor. It has been reported that this was the first time in Russia that the survivor's families were decently compensated. See more Rick @potato3334 Dec 4 Very under rated film. Better than anything that has come out of Disney since 2023. But, **spoilers** don't expect a fairy tail ending. And the chanting, omg See more Wink D 06/03/2024 This movie is worth a watch. It seems as though events in the sub were written by the main character on paper along w a letter to his wife. How accurate the events are, idk. How much additional drama was added, idk. It was very anticlimactic and feels almost as a script that doesn’t like the Russian leaders - maybe that’s true to life idk.
