Critics Consensus

The Infiltrator's compelling fact-based story and tremendously talented cast are often just enough to balance out its derivative narrative and occasionally clunky execution.

The Infiltrator is what I like to call a decent Saturday laundry film, something that you can put on, walk away from it and let it run on it's own for about 10 minutes, return to it and not be lost at all.

[Bryan Cranston is] the most watchable, dangerous, frangible thing in The Infiltrator, a B-standard crime thriller based on the exploits of undercover "narc" Robert Mazur.

Despite the viewer knowing (largely) where the film is headed, The Lincoln Lawyer director Brad Furman squeezes plenty of white-knuckle tension from the details.

Suffering a straight-forward and busy script, Brad Furman’s ‘The Infiltrator’ may not deliver the highs crime-drama junkies crave but nonetheless offers compelling performances from Bryan Cranston and John Leguizamo.

Cranston leads a cast of strong supporting actors in an entertaining and effective, if familiar, undercover cop thriller.

Like Escobars gear it gives you a short-lived high but youd be better off steering clear. Just say no, kids.

I thought this was a great movie. As I read through previous reviews, some stated that there was not enough action to keep you engaged. I believe this to be false. The great acting, constant suspense and intrigue made this a wonderful diamond in the rough.

I loved this movie. I wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it was. The underlying tension was the fun part of it. An audacious plan to bring down the bad guys was fraught with danger at every turn. Being based on a true story made it even more tense. Who would willingly be an undercover person? You almost end up feeling a bit sorry for the crims who were sucked in so badly. Great acting by all the cast. Watch .. enjoy.

A bit clunky and short on execution. Not sure how many more adaptations we need of the Colombian Cartel, although I am personally a fan of the category. Cranston couldn’t be bad in a movie even if he tried!

An entertaining movie about undercover government agents faking being money launders to get the columbian drug cartels in jail.
