Littlefoot and his young friends Cera, Ducky and Spike are being harassed by a group of older dinosaurs led by Hyp. When a meteorite strikes nearby, it causes a drought. The resulting scarcity of resources creates animosity among the different species in the Great Valley. Littlefoot and his crew resolve to venture forth to find a solution -- as does Hyp and his gang. Will the groups learn to cooperate, or will their rivalry destroy them?

... sweet and harmless little story that will delight kids who are into the series, but the underdeveloped and formulaic story line will disappoint adult viewers.

One of the most exciting of the Land Before Time movies if you look at just the cataclysmic disasters alone. Unfortunately the writing and song writing are both a little lacking, robbing this movie of being potentially one of the most impactful of the series.

"The Land Before Time 3" is an average animated movie that is unlikely to impress beyond its target audience. While the animation is great, the storyline feels predictable and lacking in imagination. Some of the jokes and songs may entertain younger viewers, but for adults or anyone seeking a compelling plot, it falls short.

If you saw the trailers and thought that this would be a grand adventure that would make up for the awfulness that was Land before time 2, then you would be wrong.

Contrary to II, even children will grow sick and tired of the songs in this movie. Honestly….I wanted this movie to end so badly. The story wasn’t really that Good, Cera and her Father come across as complete jerks, and the teen bully dinosaurs were completely pointless. Also the songs are starting to over stay their welcome already.

HOW CAN IT BE THE "TIME OF GREAT GIVING"? IT'S THE LAND BEFORE TIME! NO TIME! ONLY LAND! Worst antagonists yet. Like the 6th-graders from South Park but less believable.
