Deborah K @DebKiez Dec 29, 2025 Love this movie about second chances, redemption, not giving up, finding community, achieving your dreams! Amazing! See more Jul 7, 2021 As a wrestler, it's always nice to see my sport accurately presented on film--very few get the action right. The Last Champion gets the wrestling right, but little else. The story is slow moving, but doesn't take advantage of the slower pace by developing characters or storyline. Nothing is ever more than a rough sketch. It also seems like it wants to be about Christian Faith, but doesn't want to commit to that either, leaving non-believers annoyed by the religious aspects, and I would imagine the faithful wondering why it wasn't more than superficial. As with any redemption story, this one gets on the sappy side. I suppose you could say the actors were fine, doing what they could with a weak script. See more Jan 4, 2021 Lovely little film. Excellent acting, inspirational story. Highly watchable! See more Jan 3, 2021 As a former wrestler, and still a fan, I would've been satisfied with a good "wrestling" movie. But this turned out to be a really good movie that happened to have some good, realistic wrestling scenes in it. See more Jan 3, 2021 Good sports movie. Recommend it. Cole Hauser did a great job. Final wrestling match gave me chills. See more Dec 17, 2020 Beautifully shot, well-paced, and Cole Hauser’s performance was moving as a small town’s fallen hero. I knew nothing about this movie, and I was pleasantly surprised. See more Read all reviews
