See more Kyle M @RT77296778 Sep 21, 2026 Though inevitably violent in discomfort pileup, this Western attempt in replicating the "Pirates of the Caribbean" stellar extravagance when adapting a legendary icon is doubtlessly inferior but just as an exceptionally entertaining, riveting ride with ascended ambitions into the production culturally mixed to respect for balanced depiction amid enthralling set pieces at the same performative level, mainly by Depp’s eccentric bravura once again riotous. (B+) It engages on an observational hook under evident genderist appeal (pair this with "Hitch" then it somewhat balances the collective outlook) that solely caters through charming leads amid the cheesy formula that’s dampened towards self-contradictory, but nonetheless evoked interesting points as the intellectually crafted extent of the overall wit. (B-) See more Floyd W. T @RT81458695 Jul 30, 2026 Obviously the writer in the director never watched the original series. If you want to make this iconic hero for the time and make it a spoof, then say Lone Ranger spoof and run with it. Otherwise this is just a disrespect to the original series. The worst part about the movie is the last scene where the Lone Ranger says Hiiyo silver, Tonto says don't ever do that again. What the hell is that? So all of the people who have actually watched the series and all the kids that grew up watching it and running around their backyard copying their superhero and saying hiyp silver, now you're calling them all stupid. It's ridiculous do better. Only the script is quite confusing at times. See more Noah W @RT11297498 May 7, 2026 The Lone Ranger movie follows John Reid, a lawyer on an adventure through the Wild West with an unexpected partner, Tonto. The two work together, fighting criminals and bringing justice to the land. Throughout this story, the theme of justice is very prominent. We can see this in multiple points in the story, including the train scene, where, even though the criminals were getting away. In the chief scene. John, trying to negotiate with the chief and following Tonto’s example, speaks in very easy-to-understand English, explaining that he’s the spirit walker and can save their tribe. The chief finds this hilarious and laughs out loud with the rest of the people in the teepee. This contradicts the common stereotype that Indigenous people are always stoic.
