Inspired by the classic tale of Peter Pan, The Lost Girls chronicles four generations of Darling women as they struggle in the aftermath of their adventures with Peter Pan (Louis Partridge) in Neverland. Like her grandmother (Vanessa Redgrave) and her mother Jane (Joely Richardson) before her, Wendy (Emily Carey and Livia De Paolis) must escape Pan's hold on her and the promise he desperately wants her to keep. As her daughter Berry (Ella-Rae Smith) comes into Peter's orbit, Wendy must fight to save her relationship with her daughter while reconciling her legacy.

After watching, you may well wish that Peter Pan could be re-copyrighted to be kept out of the hands of anyone inclined to make this much of a mess of it.

The casting is amazing... But then De Paolis goes and casts herself as the namesake and granddaughter of Redgrave’s Wendy and, with a screenplay as awkward as her acting, no amount of fairy dust can help her rise to the level of her stellar cast.

Wanted to watch it so bad because Louis partridge was in it , he’s acting is always amazing but the lead roles acting ( the red haired girl ) was absolutely terrible I was so disappointed buy this Movie made no sense

This may actually be one of the worst movies I've ever seen. It's unfortunate because the concept is actually really good, but the acting is absolutely horrid, especially from the main character. I would love to see this movie re-done with the same concept, but completely different director and cast.

It had an intriguing start and a couple of mildly engaging plot points that unfortunately came to no narrative or thematic fruition. The movie took a nosedive for me the moment Livia De Paolis' character appeared. I went online to see how come the actress was so miscast just to find out she was the director herself. For one thing, she doesn't remotely look like younger versions and older relatives of her character, secondly, she acts so poorly that the annoying character traits are not softened by any hint of warmth or charisma, but rather, are aggravated even more. It's a pity the movie turned out to be a waste of many good, well-cast actors and a primising premise...

The Lost Girls enchanting book was blemished by Livia De Paolis' attempt to be all things: Director, Producer, Writer, and Actor of the film. But, De Paolis' decision to cast herself as the Lead Character in the film was unfortunate. The timeless adage about "not being your own lawyer" applied here. It was distracting when Livia appeared as adult Wendy. She didn't have similar facial structure as teenage Wendy; or acting skills equal to the impressive performances by Vanessa Redgrave, Joely Richardson, Iain Glen, and others (which were delightful).
