There’s not a twist you can’t see coming, but thanks to Kiefer Sutherland and a cast of up-for-anything actors, this trifle goes down easy and leaves a smile on your face for the holidays

Sutherland makes it all work, delivering a thoroughly winning performance that makes you buy into the overall hokum.

The second half has its moments, including two and a half real laughs. But most of this movie burns like a kerosene-soaked Santa beard.

The premise mirrors the American fish-out-of-water set-up of Ted Lasso, but without any of that TV show's wit or personality.

This was such a fun Christmas movie with some true laughs and heart-warming moments. It feels that all holiday movies these days are in the "Hallmark" format, so this was very refreshing to watch. More than anything, this truly shows Kiefer Sutherland's range of acting. Just in this movie alone he played three distinct personalities during his character arc. Not to mention his talent of singing, dancing, and (surprisingly) great comedic delivery! This will be a yearly watch for me.

An enjoyable enough bit of Christmas movie fluff that probably less appreciated by those unfamiliar by the British Panto tradition.
