Critics Consensus

With the fourth installment in Michael Bay's blockbuster Transformers franchise, nothing is in disguise: Fans of loud, effects-driven action will find satisfaction, and all others need not apply.

Since the film is a chilling two hours and 45 minutes long, that means one's mind quickly wanders, dancing across this film's many flaws, little and big.

The few authentic inspirations to be found in the movie's hundred and sixty-five roiling minutes involve gigantic science-fiction contrivances.

Bay’s garbled action, Kruger’s scattershot writing, dull humans, underdeveloped robots—these are the same issues that have plagued Transformers movies since the start.

Mo Metal, No Mojo. Explosions, nostalgia, and Stanley Tucci can only carry a movie so far. Just when you start to close the arc on the 3 different plots, they released dinosaur robots into the wild.

This movies are just the best on CGI, soundtrack, designs and action. This one is so entertaining cause the movie can be long, but it brings you so many things to like about it. The only thing I would say is terrible is the Romeo and Juliet shit and the couple is just annoying the whole movie, but that’s my only complaint, the runtime is not a bad thing, this movies are just great at that. My 3rd best of the franchise!, underrated.
