Heigl and Butler are excellent and there is some great chemistry between them. Some of the reviews say that Butler is sexist - c’mon you’re missing the point. Give it a go - even if you don’t like romcoms, it’s got enough laughs as a comedy. I wish you could review movies using a zero star rating. Butler’s character was not just insensitive, tone deaf and offensive. His beginning rant was incredibly hurtful, cruel and abusive unless you happen to look like the models that Butler seems to exclusively date and invariably dump (or maybe they finally figure he’s a lost cause and ditch him). The fact that the cast and writers could not see this is nothing short of pathetic. If Butler is even remotely like that role, it’s a wonder any woman with an ounce of self-respect and a functioning brain cell would put up with him for more than a few seconds. Heigl’s character, sadly, doesn’t fit that bill. Instead of showing this bastard up for what he is, the movie makes some kind of hero of him. Shame on the women who wrote this garbage and shame on everyone involved in making it. See more Read all reviews
