Although it may strike some as too artsy for its own good, You Won't Be Alone puts a thoughtfully fresh spin on familiar horror tropes.

I’m sorry to be so down on this film because it’s undeniably original and in a way daring in that it doesn’t follow the usual path of movies about witches and shape shifting. Go to Full Review Jake Wilson The Age (Australia) Sep 22, 2022

An ambitious, sometimes powerful, often murkily pretentious first feature from Australian writer-director Goran Stolevski, shot in the mountains of Serbia with an international cast. Go to Full Review Luke Buckmaster Guardian Sep 21, 2022

A shockingly great horror movie that cleverly differentiates itself from umpteen other productions involving witches and forests visited by the damned. Go to Full Review William Stottor Loud and Clear Reviews Aug 13, 2024

The mesmerising, rustic and sometimes darkly comic You Won’t Be Alone impressively deals in both grotesque gore and Malickian philosophical grandeur. Go to Full Review Zach Pope Zach Pope Reviews Jul 25, 2023
I LOVED moments of this I cherished others But I felt nothing while watching it emotionally An excellent concept that became a bit Repetitive as it went on with its runtime. Go to Full Review Hector A. Gonzalez InSession Film Jul 21, 2023

The ending is not as strong as one might want it to be, yet I feel that the rest of the picture has enough interesting ideas and horrific beauty to warrant multiple viewings to capture its plentiful metaphors. Go to Full Review Read all reviews

Deyby Augusto L @RT80501059 Aug 25, 2026 He perdido dos horas de la peor manera, te hace dar cuenta que las películas que considerabas malas no lo eran tanto en comparacion. Nunca me había aburrido tanto. See more Marc B @Tru2blu Jun 21, 2026 Certainly places the viewer in the perspective of the witchs’ life. Beautifully acted by all the players involved and a realistic spin of what a folklore story could be. See more Oscar E. @oscarpac Mar 16, 2026 Oh my goodness this movie is a masterpiece. It’s tragic, beautiful, grim, hopeful all in one. Cinematography is beautifully done. The story is amazing! More folk tragedy than horror but it had me blown away. I recommend this movie 10/10!!! See more Otávio P @Opedigone Feb 22, 2026 Beautiful movie. Poetic, deep, with great performances. See more Stephen G. @patient1 Nov 11, 2025 Exceptional Folk Horror Tale... Unsure of which legend or folk tale this story represents, but it's quite intriguing so far and unlike anything before. Noomi Rapace's role is unparalleled in her performance in this film, unlike any other I've seen prior to this. The premise of the story is very different than I could have imagined in the way they've accomplished it, and it's a rather horrorific and juicy spectacle for the eyes. There is so much to learn from so many viewpoints and the constant feeling of how long you can make this one last. I had no idea that Alice Englert was in this film, and her role allowed her the most life yet experienced in the film. See more Marjorie S @RT29020246 Aug 12, 2025 A poetic, stunning debut. Goran should be proud. I was left in awe thinking about several scenes days later. The "monster" is shown in the first minutes, and you're stuck thinking about her story. The main character continues to expand. Every actor is phenomenal. Every introspection serves up raw emotion. I feel fully satisfied with the ending. And yet.. See more Read all reviews
